Rest for YOU

Deepest Needs… Satisfied

Peace of Spirit, Soul and Mind

Life is hectic.  Our culture prizes busyness and stress.  Inner peace and balance are sought after by numerous avenues but end up in the same place – dead ends. We are all desperate for answers and searching for grace.  Where is it found? Who can attain it?  Our search needs to be for a WHO, not a what.  Peace is found in God  but who is worthy ?  No one because no one is perfect.  It is so simple many miss it. The lavish grace is given to whoever comes to GOD. No one is outside of the grace or love of God. He desires ALL to come to Him.  Grace is not for the pretty, the talented, the rich or poor… it is for whoever needs it and that includes you.  Peace is found in one place – reconciliation with the almighty God. It may be experienced  momentarily in other ways but lasting peace is found only through the person and work of Christ. Sola Eirene.  It does not come through works, religion,  or any other way.  Our lives can be futile or fruitful –based on that all important relationship with God.  Through Christ alone can we be at peace with God and others. Only through Him will we ever be at peace with ourselves.

Bad News:

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  The wage of  sin is death. The bad news is that we are all unacceptable to God  because no one is perfect.  One little sin or even a big one separates us from a holy and righteous God.  Whether we have stolen a cookie, lied, cheated,  gossiped, lusted in our  hearts or simply gotten a speeding ticket, we all have messed up, screwed up and gone against Gods commands.  He can’t look on our sin when He is holy.  There MUST be a sacrifice. There has to be justice and real justice is us being banished from His presence because of our sin.  The penalty remains.  We have no hope of attaining His favor because of our sin.  That’s bad news.  But wait…

Good News

The wage of sin is death BUT the gift of God is eternal LIFE.  The good news is that Jesus took on our sin and shame and cleansed us from all unrighteousness by HIS sacrifice.  The cross is not merely a religious symbol but the place where our debt was exchanged for Christs love. When we come to Him, He cleanses, frees and forgives us.  No longer does God look on our junk  and rebellion—He now looks on the blood stained forgiveness of His son Jesus.  The blood of Jesus makes us acceptable, chosen, treasured, forgiven, and made right in God’s eyes.  That’s not  just good news — that’s amazing and awesome news!  Is that the kind of news you are looking for? Would you like to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord  and be free from that debt and shame today? It will help you begin a new life –led by Gods love and power.

             Say this prayer:

Jesus, I have gone my own way and done my own thing . I have sinned against You and others. Please forgive me for my sin, please cleanse me.  I accept what you have done for me on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new.  I give you my life Jesus. I choose today to follow you. Thank you for the gift of salvation.

Jesus, be my Lord and Savior. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, please contact us today or let the pastor of your church know so someone can celebrate this big moment  with you.  Start reading the Bible  * and get in fellowship so you can grow.  Find a local church that has a new believers class so you can discover this great God who LOVES you so very much.

This is a great start for a  new life!   Blessings.

* Start reading in the Gospel of John.  Look for a church where they carry their Bibles to the service and incorporate prayer/communion into the church life.
